You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.The compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $24.50, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.Schedule:We are looking for a full-time Laboratory Technician I, Monday - Friday, in our Wilmington, NC lab. The regular work schedule for this position may vary depending on departmental and operational requirements. Employees in this role may be required to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may also be required based on workload and business needs. Flexibility and reliability in scheduling are essential for this position.To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:<ul><li>Preparation of samples for analysis</li><li>Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment</li><li>Sample extractions</li><li>Determining the volume of samples</li><li>Cleaning of laboratory glassware</li><li>Maintaining clean laboratory areas</li><li>Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis</li><li>Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses</li><li>Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation</li><li>Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies</li><li>Comply with Health and Safety Plan</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Your Expertise and SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.<ul><li>BA / BS Degree in Chemistry or Natural Science (or equivalent training)</li><li>Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written)</li><li>Able to work independently and make sound decisions</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li></ul>Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what's typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
