This position performs a variety of tasks including building repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and general facility upkeep.</h3><p>Work is typically performed independently using established procedures, with occasional supervision and review from the Facilities Maintenance Manager.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>Facility Maintenance & Repairs</h3><ul><li><p>Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings and facility structures</p></li><li><p>Repair drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, and basic electrical issues</p></li><li><p>Assist with plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance</p></li><li><p>Inspect facilities to identify potential issues and determine corrective actions</p></li><li><p>Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep facilities operating efficiently</p></li></ul><p>Equipment & Property Maintenance</p><ul><li><p>Inspect machinery and equipment and report malfunctions</p></li><li><p>Operate powered hand tools and specialized equipment</p></li><li><p>Assist with facility cleaning and upkeep across multiple locations</p></li><li><p>Maintain drainage areas and clear debris around equipment and workspaces</p></li><li><p>Perform general property maintenance including sweeping, washing, and site cleanup</p></li></ul><h3>Work Orders & Documentation</h3><ul><li><p>Document maintenance work orders, repairs completed, and parts replaced</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities</p></li><li><p>Communicate facility issues and repair needs to management</p></li><li><p>Assist with coordinating repair work and maintenance scheduling</p></li></ul><h3>Team Collaboration</h3><ul><li><p>Work with plant supervisors and facility staff to address maintenance needs</p></li><li><p>Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing</p></li><li><p>Support company safety initiatives and maintain compliance with safety policies</p></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>High School Diploma or GED required</p></li><li><p><strong>3–5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or construction experience</strong></p></li><li><p>Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required</p></li><li><p>Vocational or technical training certification preferred</p></li></ul><h3>Skills & Abilities</h3><ul><li><h3>General knowledge of building maintenance including:</h3><ul><li><p>Carpentry</p></li><li><p>Plumbing</p></li><li><p>Electrical</p></li><li><p>HVAC systems</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose maintenance issues</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate hand tools and maintenance equipment</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks</p></li><li><p>Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and teamwork skills</p></li></ul><h3>Work Environment</h3><h3>This position works across <strong>office, plant, and industrial environments</strong>.
