Joy is the job.</p><p>At Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Froster puts the sugar on top and makes every moment extra sweet.</p><p>Froster ensures that cakes of the highest quality are consistently created for our guests and contributes to superior service by meeting production demands.</p><p>Accountabilities/Duties:</p><ul><li>Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals.</li><li>Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes.</li><li>Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly.</li><li>Ensures an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels.</li><li>Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs.</li><li>Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required.</li><li>Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues.</li><li>Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation, ensures frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee.</li><li>Cross trained for different bakery positions.</li></ul><p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Can understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes, order tickets, operating procedures, and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.</li><li>Understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.</li><li>Has the ability to perform repetitious tasks that require precise and continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.</li><li>Has the physical capacity to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (as much as 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>Is meticulous about using exact measurements, paying strict attention to timing, and working on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.</li><li>Can evaluate products, processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.</li><li>Possesses the discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.</li><li>Is diligent, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize workload and operate independently with minimal supervision.</li></ul><p>Work Availability: Must have the flexibility to work 4:00pm - 7:30pm during the week, weekends, and some holidays, based on changing business demands.</p><p>But what makes working here so sweet?</p><ul><li>Enjoy your evenings: We close earlier than most food service jobs.</li><li>We offer flexible work schedules.</li><li>We're keeping it casual. Confers with the Production Manager regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers. Washing, trimming, cooking and seasoning of food items for each meal. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers and food processors to make entrées, sauces, casserole, soups, breads and desserts. Bakes, roasts and broils meats and other foods. Observes and tastes food being cooked to assure the product meets standards and reflects recipe adherence. procures food products from refrigerators, freezers and dry storage areas.<br/><br/></div><div>May request assistance from co-workers when needed. Portions controls food items as needed.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></div><ul><li>Dating and labeling monitored.</li><li>Be able to articulate an understanding of modified diets. Articulates, speak knowledgeably, and fluently of modified diets.</li><li>Be able to perform simple calculations to adjust quantities of standardized recipes. Ability to extend recipes.</li><li>Check walk-in storage units on a daily basis in order to coordinate leftovers within the day’s menu.</li><li>Follow sanitation rules as established by the Health Department, and the hospital’s Infection Control Committee. Have knowledge of cross-contamination. Cuts, lesion report/Infection control report/ understanding cross-contamination. Ensure fresh products by using the batch cooking method.</li><li>Taste panels and palatability monitored by Management/Supervisors. Ensure proper temperatures for all food placed on the serving line, and cafeteria. Consistently takes and records temperatures.</li><li>Prepare foods for patients, cafeteria, and other food service areas according to recipes. Recipes are provided and followed, and taste panels preferred by Production Manager.</li><li>Rotate meats, frozen foods, and other items on a “First In”, “First Out” basis.</li><li>Prepare foods for patients, cafeteria, and other food service areas according to recipes.</li><li>Promptly reports food shortages, outdated items, or any food received in poor condition.</li><li>Communicate with management and supervision about concerns in the workplace.</li><li>Replenishes cafeteria and patient serving lines throughout meal periods.
