<ul><li>Responsible for maintaining knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations that apply to the functions and duties of the Security Department.</li><li>Maintains a security booth and completes records using shift activity log according to established guidelines.</li><li>Safeguards the assets of property, its guests, team members, and provides a safe environment for guests and team members.</li><li>Performs chip and credit transactions, money and marker transfers, and verifies amounts by signature, in accordance with established guidelines and Mississippi Gaming Commission regulations.</li><li>Responds to all emergencies according to established guidelines.  Radios for backup and notifies a member of the Security leadership team immediately. </li><li>Communicates with Security, Casino Operations, Player Services, Surveillance, and all other departments as needed according to established guidelines. </li><li>Responsible for checking identification of guests according to established responsible gaming guidelines and Mississippi Gaming Commission regulations.  Escalates potential issues and/or concerns to a member of the Security leadership team. </li><li>Responsible for greeting guests with a positive, upbeat attitude upon them entering and exiting the property. </li><li>Responsible for performing walking and/or driving escorts as assigned.</li><li>Responsible for roaming parking lot as assigned.</li><li>Responds to guest needs according to guest service, policy, and procedure expectations.  Escalates potential issues and/or concerns to a member of the Security leadership team as needed. </li><li>Reports all illnesses and injuries to appropriate Security Team Member.  Contacts appropriate Security Team Member to provide appropriate information for report and perform minor first aid as needed. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining crowd control in a calm and positive manner.  Escalates potential issues and/or concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed. In the event of witnessing or responding to a fight or verbal confrontation, uses the minimal amount of force or restraint necessary to control the situation.  </li><li>Responsible for remaining alert always while on duty.  Escalates potential issues and/or safety concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed.</li><li>Informs guests of all property events, safety hazards, and answers guest questions regarding property information.  </li><li>Surveys and watches crowd always and stops inappropriate behavior immediately.</li><li>Follows all guest cut off procedures according to established guidelines.  </li><li>Ensures work area is always clean and free of safety hazards.  Escalates potential issues and/or safety concerns immediately to a member of the Security leadership team as needed.</li><li>Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.</li><li>Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.</li><li>Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.</li></ul>

Rotating | 3 12 Hour Shifts 1 Week and 4 12 Hour Shifts the Next Position Overview: The Security Officer helps establish, promote and maintain hospital security and property protection programs for all facilities within the Singing River Health System. He/She patrols the facility to prevent fire, theft and vandalism; and responds to the security needs of Singing River Health System personnel. The Security Officer must be confident, even-tempered, tolerant, and knowledgeable of law enforcement procedures and techniques. He/she must have a neat appearance, demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills; and exhibit the ability to work quickly and effectively in difficult situations. The position requires respect for the rights, property and privacy of others, displaying a professional image at all times. The Security Officer must be able to interrelate well with all hospital departments (all levels of supervision and management) and employees, patients, visitors, medical staff members, the public and local law enforcement agencies. He/She must demonstrate respect for the rights, property and privacy of others; and display a professional image at all times. The Officer will be required to investigate incidents or unusual occurrences, provide appropriate follow up and documentation, and testifying in a court of law when requested to do so by subpoena. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees. This position will be located onsite in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Job Overview:
The Safety & Security Manager is accountable for OSHA compliance, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and comprehensive risk management within a 24/7 residential training environment. This role sets the standard by leading inspections, audits, incident investigations, emergency drills, and corrective actions to ensure full regulatory, contractual, and organizational compliance. We're seeking a leader who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in students’ lives by fostering a safe, secure, and supportive environment where students and staff can learn, work, and thrive. The Safety & Security Manager directly supervises senior officer(s), security officer/driver(s), and security officers, and is responsible for overall center security, safety operations, fire prevention, property protection, transportation, and fleet management in accordance with government, corporate, and management directives. While the primary schedule for this position is day shift, additional hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to support operational needs. The pay for this position is $55,000/year. Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties:<ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative activities of the department.</li><li>Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and recommend and implement department and personnel changes as approved by the Center Director and coordinated with Human Resources Manager.</li><li>Develop and maintain safety, fire, and emergency disaster, and risk assessment plans in compliance with government and corporate directives.</li><li>Serve as the center safety officer, regularly conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards, initiate corrective action, and prepare reports to cognizant agencies and management.</li><li>Oversee transportation of students and staff in center vehicles, as required.</li><li>Assist in development of departmental budget. Monitor budget; control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.</li><li>Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the safety/transportation department and center safety programs; coordinate policy changes with other departments to ensure compliance with center objectives.</li><li>Regularly assess and audit department for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports.</li><li>Develop and monitor shift schedules for 24-hour, seven days per week coverage; schedule substitute staff as necessary to ensure adequate coverage at all times.</li><li>Investigate all employee and student accident/injury accidents/injuries for reporting to insurance underwriter, DOL and the corporate office.</li><li>Coordinate with other departments on activities, problem solving, staff training, and interdepartmental programs regarding safety, security and transportation.</li><li>Maintain the security of buildings, vehicles, and property by ensuring doors, windows, lighting, appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment are secured.</li><li>Test fire and safety systems and intrusion alarms; report malfunctions; ensure monthly fire drills are conducted and documented in compliance with government and corporate directives; ensure fire extinguishers are available in required locations and in working condition at all times.</li><li>Manage overall fire prevention and emergency response and serve as liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement, and the fire department.</li><li>Provide fire and safety procedures and literature to staff and students; develop and implement orientation and in-service training programs for staff and students; train staff on OSHA standards.</li><li>Conduct searches and seizures when so authorized; confiscate contraband, weapons, etc., and deliver such to the Center Director for proper disposal.</li><li>Assist center staff and law enforcement officers in controlling disturbances; investigate and prepare reports on such; coordinate tort claims.</li><li>Ensure that proper student check-in and check-out procedures are followed.</li><li>Maintain incident reports, accident documentation, logs, and other records as prescribed by center, government and corporate guidelines.</li><li>Regularly inspect facilities; conduct preventive safety inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards; initiate corrective action.</li></ul>

Job Requirements:
Mandatory:<ul><li>Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in related field. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.</li><li>Three years of related experience in law enforcement, security and/or safety; one of which should be in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Successfully pass any background check and/drug test required on the contract.</li><li>Ability to obtain & maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Experience in safety, security, law enforcement, emergency management, military, corrections, or related leadership roles.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA standards, emergency response procedures, and risk management practices.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and investigative skills.</li><li>Experience managing teams in a 24/7 operational environment preferred.</li></ul>
