We are seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated part-time Security Personnel who can create a safe environment for all on property while engaging with guests. We look forward to connecting with you! Position Summary:The Security Personnel is responsible for protecting the property, employees and guests of The Cliffs Hotel & Spa. They maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions, while delivering on Cliffs Mission, Values, and Forbes standards. The main goal is to detect, deter, observe and report while ensuring safety for self and others. Essential Functions of the job:<ul><li>Onsite work only</li><li>Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays</li><li>Maintains a safe environment for The Cliffs Hotel & Spa staff and guests by being a visible presence in all areas of the hotel property</li><li>Monitors and controls access to the property's entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the property and checking for wristbands when required for entry</li><li>Regularly patrols the property, including but not limited to restaurant, hotel, grounds and parking lot</li><li>If designated to be stationed, remain a consistent and visible presence at the specified location as directed </li><li>Observes people and surroundings to uncover and detect suspicious activity</li><li>Deters unsafe incidents by providing exceptional service while enforcing company procedures</li><li>Uses de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts and ensure safety for self and others</li><li>Takes accurate notes of unusual occurrences and reports to manager on duty immediately</li><li>Responds quickly to incidents, gathering information and documentation in partnership with Front Office Supervisors or MOD</li><li>Communicates effectively with other departments, including Valet, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and Sales team, and law enforcement as needed</li><li>Maintains professional and gracious attitude with others, while demonstrating integrity at all times</li><li>Follow Cliffs policies and procedures, including those for safety/security, while enforcing all local and state regulations</li><li>Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, and safety measures</li><li>Assists in emergency and security procedures as directed by the employee manual and the established emergency plan</li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned by manager</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Flexible work schedule</li><li>Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.</li><li>Able to speak fluent English</li></ul> Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Able to stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Able to walk for an extended period of time</li><li>Able to lift 50 pounds</li></ul>Education, Experience, Skills:<ul><li>High School Diploma</li><li>Previous unarmed security experience preferred</li><li>Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures and protocols</li><li>Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills</li><li>Able to work very well under stress</li><li>Able to maintain professionalism and commitment to customer service</li></ul> This job description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
