Work with all departments to ensure safety practices are being followed, with attention to chemical storage and use, slip/trip/fall hazard removal, fire and carbon monoxide detection / response, machine guarding, safe manual material handling practices (including ergonomics, lifting techniques, and task design), contractor management, and injury and illness prevention. Some properties provide water rescue services, manage their own firefighting teams and equipment, deal with hazardous wildlife, or have responsibility for childcare facilities, each of which require additional security and safety expertise.
