SUMMARYEnsures the safety and security of the business premises by performing good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Monitors video cameras and phonesDirects incoming and outgoing trafficDirects applicants, visitors, contractors and sales representatives to proper locations and work areasAssists police, fire and ambulance personnel when necessaryMonitors scanner and TV during bad weather and on other occasions (ex. snow, thunderstorms, tornado, earthquakes, etc.)Sounds tornado alarm if neededPrepares security badges for employeesTakes orders for employee uniform itemsChecks removal passes for employees who remove company propertyChecks all buildings for water, oil and other leaks or hazards when plant is shut down and on weekendsProvides first-aid when necessaryCalls police, fire and/or ambulance when necessaryCalls snow removal service when necessaryMakes reports of accidents and incidents on company propertyForwards e-mail and faxes to proper recipients in a timely mannerFollows all company procedures/policies/rulesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.TECHNICAL SKILLSKnowledge in Microsoft Outlook requested.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
