Quality Engineer Spirax Sarco is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance and compliance efforts. What You Bring <ul><li>Experienced or Certified in Weld Inspections</li><li>5+ years' experience in coded welding and fabrication.</li><li>Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.</li><li>Profound knowledge of ASME regulations and norms.</li></ul> Responsibilities <ul><li>Build travelers for ASME vessels, including marking hold points for UM vessels.</li><li>Maintain Welding Procedures and Performance Qualification Reports.</li><li>Coordinate the preparation, revision, administration, and issuance of the Spirax Sarco, Inc. ASME Quality Control Manual.</li><li>Ensure ASME drawings meet all applicable codes and customer specifications.</li><li>ASME documentation like WPSs, PQRs, WPQs, and welder/compose continuity records.</li><li>Review and approve ASME-related purchase orders and update quality control documentation accordingly.</li><li>Conduct weld inspections, testing, and quality reviews to verify compliance with standards.</li><li>Coordinate with Authorized Inspectors, schedule NDE activities, support hydrotesting and ASME/NBBI joint reviews, and prepare Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDRs).</li><li>Perform receiving and final inspections to ensure material and product quality.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives, quality audits, and stay current with ASME code updates.</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field with equivalent experience.</li><li>Background or current experience working in a manufacturing or production environment</li><li>Experience with welding techniques, PQRs, WPQs, and NDE procedures.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding symbols.</li><li>Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.</li></ul> Together, we will successfully implement quality controls that ensure safe, reliable, and innovative solutions! Overview:
Provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge and leadership as described below. This position has oversight of a specific area and acts as a representative of the engineering discipline ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Must be a US Citizen</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Under general supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer, serve as an Area Lead providing guidance / supervision to other engineers and designers</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding technical solutions to problems of advanced complexity in accordance with project requirements</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Develop and review specifications and design criteria</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Perform and check engineering analyses and calculations; specify materials, equipment and systems; and solve technical problems of advanced complexity</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Execute work in compliance with Project Quality Plan and procedures</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Execute work in accordance with the approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Develop and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports including effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Establish, control, and report on material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide technical support to activities associated with equipment and material procurement and subcontracting including scopes of work, technical bid evaluations, and review of vendor submittals</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide technical support to activities associated with construction administration including response to construction requests-for-information and field changes</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Qualifications:

systems and equipment design and specification</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Demonstrated proficiency with 2D CADD applications such as Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCAD</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Establish equipment requirements and prepare equipment data sheets for mechanical equipment including unfired and fired heat transfer equipment, packaged equipment, pressure vessels, pumps and compressors, or packaged equipment</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Evaluate dimensions, equipment connections, and equipment performance including pressure profiles, heat transfer rates, and off-design cases</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide equipment sizing and application support to project development or process</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Participate in material selection for equipment</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Develop and revise equipment lists, narrative specifications, equipment standards, equipment general arrangement and outline drawings</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Participate in supplier / contractor bid clarification, negotiation, and/or award meetings</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Review and comment on supplier / contractor drawings and data</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Represent Mechanical in model reviews and closely monitor</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide consultation during fabrication and witness testing of equipment</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Provide consultation and/or on-site assistance for the installation, commissioning, and/or startup of equipment</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Professional Engineer license</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Experience with design of systems, structures and components for nuclear facilities under the requirements of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NQA-1</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Advanced knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Demonstrated experience managing and leading large projects</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Proficiency with project set-up, development of control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Practical field experience</li></ul>EPC project experience for the following industries:<ul><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">S Department of Energy or other U.S. Federal Government Agency</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Nuclear facilities under a nuclear quality assurance program</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Manufacturing, pharmaceutical or biotechnology</li></ul>Intermediate knowledge of:<ul><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Instrumentation and Control (I&C) specifications for equipment</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Finite element analysis</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Design of mechanical equipment through all stages of a project from conceptual phase to design development, construction, and commissioning</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 1in">Mechanical equipment in one or more of the following specialties: rotating equipment, pressure vessels, unfired and fired heat transfer equipment, packaged equipment, or metallurgy and welding</li></ul>
