This position will support and interact with fabrication, glass coating, and assembly operations as well as multiple departments across the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following, other duties may be assigned.<ul style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;color:#333333"><li>Determine best methods for manufacturing products with maximum efficiency.</li><li>Inspect and maintain the performance of all mechanical equipment and machinery to support the production processes.</li><li>Design production layouts, select and optimize equipment, and develop new manufacturing processes that represent the most competitive cost alternative while maintaining acceptable quality levels.</li><li>Analyze and improve current manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.</li><li>Implement safety and quality control measures to ensure a safe and consistent product.</li><li>Design, develop, and test mechanical components, machines, and equipment.</li><li>Designs electrical components for machines, equipment, and control systems</li><li>Creates and tests methods and specifications that go into the production of mechanical devices</li><li>Applies principles of heat transfer, thermodynamics, mechanics, and hydraulics when developing products</li><li>Develop, justify, and support strategic capital projects.</li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement to meet project goals and objectives.</li><li>Develop and implement standardized work procedures to improve overall plant performance.</li><li>Provide training and support to plant personnel on new equipment and processes.</li><li>Analyzing production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in plant performance.</li></ul>Qualificationsto perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
