They read blueprints, set up parts, and use various welding techniques to ensure strong and durable joints. Welder duties also include inspecting materials, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.***NIGHT SHIFT SCHEDULE ONLY***PRIMARY DUTIES<ul><li>Using welding equipment to fuse metal pieces together, creating strong bonds </li><li>Interpreting technical drawings to understand specifications and dimensions</li><li>Preparing metal parts for welding by aligning, clamping, and ensuring proper positioning</li><li>Employing various welding methods, including arc, gas, and resistance welding</li><li>Checking the quality of welds for defects and ensuring they meet standards</li><li>Ensuring welding equipment is properly maintained and functioning safely</li><li>Wearing appropriate safety gear and adhering to safety regulations</li><li>Welding to fix damaged or worn-out metal parts and structures</li><li>Utilizing hand tools for tasks like clamping, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces</li><li>Following instructions and specifications provided in blueprints or other documentation</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Applicants must be at least 18 years old</li><li>Welding skills with both stick and wire welders required</li><li>Must be able to read blueprints</li><li>Experience with machining a plus</li></ul>Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
