The Certified Welder and Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of welding and fabrication equipment while producing high-quality components that meet demanding engineering and quality standards. Overview:
The Journeyman Sheet Metal Welder should be proficient in MIG welding light gauge sheet metal ductwork both round and rectangular. These duties will be performed out of position in a construction project setting using MEWP's, the incumbent of this position is responsible for determining materials and consumables required for this role and reporting project needs to the superintendent in a timely manner. These materials include but are not limited to; shielding gas, wire type, wire size as well as specific PPE needs. Incumbent performs this work within an established time frame and ensures this work is done in conformance with quality work standards, project man-hours, and in the established company safety guidelines

Responsibilities:
 <ul><li>Proficient in MIG Welding 16 ga carbon steel, 18 gauge stainless steel, 18 gauge galvanized -Familiar with D9.1 standards </li><li>Tig welding (Preferred not required)</li><li>Familiar with operating scissor lifts</li><li>Setting up and tearing down welding equipment daily</li><li>Filling out required permits daily</li><li>Install and fit-up of material to be welded</li><li>Working in the elements </li></ul>

Pay Range:
