Explore diverse career opportunities and start a fulfilling professional journey with us today.Welding job duties include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Safely and effectively operates TIG/MIG Welder to industry standards</li><li>Reading blueprints, shop drawings and other instructions to assemble accurately and within tolerance.</li><li>Identify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs.</li><li>Operate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or non-conformances and conducting quality checks to ensure the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard.</li><li>Assist in developing new additive manufacturing procedures.</li><li>Inspecting materials to ensure that they meet specifications for size, shape and consistency.</li><li>Safely utilizes various metal shop tools including angle grinder component parts per engineering specifications.</li><li>Skilled at assessing repair viability of damaged or broken parts and repairing or repurposing as needed.</li><li>Manages workflow to ensure a clean and organized workplace.</li><li>Cleans and organizes daily, or as needed to keep and maintain an organized and functional workplace.</li><li>Collaborating with other department leaders regarding work progress, problems, or other issues that arise during the workday that could assist in completing production orders on time.</li><li>Complying with internal policies and industry regulations.</li><li>Other tasks as assigned</li></ul>Our current hiring manufacturing brand locations in Salina: <ul><li>Vortex Dry Bulk & Solids Facility (West Campus) – Primary production site for bulk and solids handling components. </li><li>Spectrum Metalcraft (East Campus) – Custom metal fabrication, abrasive blast and precision work.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational technical school.</li></ul><ul><li>1-2 years prior production shop experience complimentary but not required.</li><li>TIG welding skills not required but a plus.</li><li>Excellent organization and time management skills. </li><li>Ability to read engineered drawings.</li><li>Ability to read a tape measure accurately. </li></ul>Hours: Monday through Thursday from from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm with possible overtime if required. A production welder is a professional who uses various welding equipment and methods to join metal pieces or repair metal components.

Some of the common duties and responsibilities of a welder are:<ul><li>Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan layout and procedures.</li><li>Determining the appropriate weld settings and methods based on requirements and materials.</li><li>Setting up components for welding according to specifications and safety standards.</li><li>Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).</li><li>Aligning, clamping, and securing metal parts before welding.</li><li>Welding components using different techniques, such as TIG, MIG. </li><li>Inspecting welded surfaces to discover flaws and ensure quality.</li><li>Maintaining and cleaning welding equipment and tools.</li></ul>To be a successful welder, one needs to have the following skills and qualifications:<ul><li>Proven experience as a welder in a relevant field or industry, must take a weld test to determine skill and placement. </li><li>Some knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties.</li><li>Ability to read and follow technical documents and instructions.</li><li>Skill in using various welding equipment and tools safely and effectively.</li><li>Attention to safety, detail, and accuracy.</li><li>Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity. </li><li>Professional certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred but not required. </li><li><a name="_Hlk133481919">Minimum physical requirements include lifting moderate weight up to 50lbs, standing for long periods.  </a></li><li>A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.</li></ul>Full-time Regular benefits include: Progressive pay scale, Health Insurance w/ Dental, Paid Vacation and Holidays, Retirement Plan, Life Insurance, and company supplied uniforms.
