<h5>Early Childhood Special Education Teacher </h5>This position provides instruction and other educational support such as case management to special needs students and assists them in their academic, functional, and social development. Candidates should have experience with individualized strategies and understand the needs of a diverse student population. Other duties may be assigned. <ul><li>Implements all aspects of the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) process, including but not limited to, communication with team members, evaluation, reporting, IEP writing, IEP implementation, data collection and progress reporting. </li><li>Reviews, revises, writes curriculum as per district format. </li><li>Achieves district educational goals and objectives by promoting active learning and thinking in the classroom using board-adopted curriculum and other appropriate learning tools. </li><li>Develops lesson objectives and/or unit plans, uses instructional materials, provides individualized and small-group instruction, and adapts the curriculum when necessary to meet the needs of each student. </li><li>Systematically measures student performance by means of a variety of assessment tools such as teacher-made tests and standard or alternative assessments to measure learning. </li><li>Implements current best practices to promote student learning. </li><li>Differentiates lesson presentations, class activities, and assessments for students that will meet individual needs, interests and abilities of each student. </li><li>Monitors student academic progress and personal growth toward stated objectives of instruction. </li><li>Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and resolving learning issues. </li><li>Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a classroom climate conducive to learning.
