We are hiring teachers certified in South Carolina for <strong>Grades K-12 Special Education</strong> for the 2025-2026<strong></strong>school year.    </p><p> </p><p>We are seeking teachers who have a professional level Science Special Education teacher certificate AND are will to go through reciprocity to get certified in additional state(s). <strong><em>A dedicated support team will assist you in the process and Elevate K-12 will reimburse you for any fees.</em></strong>    </p><p> </p><p>Please note, are hiring for the current school year.  <strong>We will begin posting new openings for the 2026–2027 school year in June.</strong></p><h4><strong>We offer...</strong> </h4><ul><li style="line-height:1.5">Elevate K-12 teachers are Independent Contracts (1099) - no benefits provided, or taxes withheld. </li><li style="line-height:1.5">Elevate K-12 teachers are paid per <em>hourly session taught</em>. The rates, which include prep/admin time, start at <strong>$35 </strong><strong>per hourly </strong><strong>session</strong><strong>taugh</strong><strong>t</strong>. We are on a mission to enable high-quality, live teaching for every learner in the United States, from kindergarten through their first jobs, so they receive the education they need to identify and pursue their unique passions in life. We are changing the way classrooms work by creating a brand-new category of LIVE, virtual classroom instruction that gives students access to exceptional, certified, live teachers. Using our proprietary technology, our teachers are livestreamed from across the country into thousands of classrooms, providing instruction that would otherwise be unavailable in many districts across the US.  </p><h4> </h4><h4><strong>About Elevate K-12 LIVE teaching...</strong>  </h4><p>It is just like a regular class, except it is LIVE. We livestream U.S. certified teachers who are teaching remotely into public school classrooms across the country (the students are not remote or homeschooled). When students head into a live classroom, they will feel like it is a regular school day – teachers asking questions, students raising their hands, all made possible by our technology and teachers. Elevate LIVE teaching was built to act, look, feel, and sound like every other classroom.   </p><p>Every classroom has a Classroom Coach – the adult in the room to help with classroom management, keeping kids on task, and partnering together with the teacher. Our technology platform was built for K-12 students to facilitate effective, engaging instruction. We also have a 24/7 support network for teachers and schools if issues arise.   </p><h4> </h4><h4><strong>Benefits to teaching with Elevate...</strong>  </h4><p>Our teaching network allows teachers to teach on their own terms! We take away many of the excess burdens that teachers typically shoulder (no more lunch duty) and provide teachers with an engaging curriculum (through Elevate or our district partners), a supportive team, and a tech platform that empowers teachers to focus on teaching. </p><ul><li style="line-height:1.5">Fully remote (private and professional setting required).</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Part-time hours during the regular school day (choose your own schedule).</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Reduced administrative duties (no staff meetings or lunch duties).</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Individualized instructional coaching and peer to peer mentoring to ensure high student engagement.</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Professional development opportunities.</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Reach deserving students across the country and provide them opportunities to learn.</li><li style="line-height:1.5">Networking and fun with your fellow teachers!    </li></ul><h4> </h4><h4><strong>Our expectations of Elevate teachers...</strong>   </h4><ul><li>Adaptable in taking classes that start throughout the semester – most teachers teach between 10-20 hours per week, building up to that schedule throughout the year.    </li><li>Commitment and consistency in attendance - Elevate teachers are the teacher of record for their students.    </li><li>Maintain an elevated level of professionalism in the classroom environment with students, the Classroom Coach, fellow Elevate K-12 professionals, and school employees.</li><li>Flexible, can think critically, and can adapt to change quickly to ensure optimal student outcomes.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines set by Elevate and the school calendar.</li><li>Tech-savvy and comfortable operating in a remote setting.</li><li>Can maintain an elevated level of online organizational and professional skills.</li><li>Consistently reliable internet connection and an appropriate, professional environment for teaching.</li></ul><h4> </h4><h4><strong>Mandatory Requirements...</strong>   </h4><ul><li>Most importantly... a passion for remarkable teaching!  </li><li>An active, verifiable teaching certification in the <strong>South Carolina</strong> for:<ul><li style="font-weight:bold"><strong>Special Education</strong></li></ul></li><li>MUST be willing to get certified in other states through reciprocity.</li><li>Certified and experienced with teaching students in G<strong>rades K-12</strong>.</li><li>Must <em>physically </em><em>reside</em><em> in the United States</em> during the 2025-2026 school year due to student information security requirements with our partner schools. </li><li>A daily available time block of at least five consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm EST. </li><li>Ability to work a part-time schedule of 10-20 hours per week during normal school hours.</li><li>A laptop or desktop computer with a reliable high-speed internet connection.</li><li>Most importantly... a passion for remarkable teaching! </li></ul><p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="text-align:left">At Elevate, we treat teachers like the educated professionals they are.
