Strong organization, prioritization, discretionary judgement, communication and multi-tasking skills are essential in this role and are the keys to your success in handling ever-changing demands and bringing leaders together.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide timely and effective administrative support to our CIO and the NLG Capital Leadership Team</li><li>Draft communications as needed; collaborate with leadership on messaging and manage information flow</li><li>Arrange travel, accommodations, itineraries and all correspondence related to necessary arrangements including management of expense reports</li><li>Plan, organize and execute events such as meetings, team building activities, luncheons, client dinners and special projects</li><li>Manage the day-to-day administrative affairs of our CIO - maintaining a high degree of confidentiality & discretion; anticipate needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and resources to support our CIO in addressing issues</li><li>Provide comprehensive support services to our CIO that ensures professional, responsive, and effective experiences at all levels of the organization \u2013 tracks and helps drive completion of key deliverables and follows up on outstanding action items</li><li>Provide sophisticated calendar management; prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts with little guidance, make judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements</li><li>Manage a variety of departmental operations, such as team onboarding and inventory needs.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other administrative professionals to request and assemble information, assist in formatting, and proof reading of business documents, as well as internal and external communications \u2013 commitment to the success of the team over personal success</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree</li><li>Investment/asset manager experience</li><li>Extensive administrative experience with a demonstrated record of success as a C-suite administrative professional</li><li>Experience in project coordination</li><li>High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers and vendors</li><li>Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills</li><li>A self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision; think independently to problem solve; take the initiative to resolve administrative and procedural issues; evaluate alternatives and make recommendations with tact and discretion</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li><li>Knowledge of a variety of software applications, as well as the demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new Company-specific systems and processes.</li><li>Willing and available to work the hours necessary to meet the demands of the business.</li><li>Completes assignments efficiently and in a timely manner, demonstrating a commitment to quality and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work onsite Monday \u2013 Thursday, with flexibility to be onsite on Fridays when there is a business need.</li><li>Able to pass a background check.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li/><li>Your benefits start day one and are flexible and customizable to your and your family's specific needs. The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life's discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs.
