<h1>Opportunity </h1><p>PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a <strong>Primary Care Physician</strong> to provide on-site medical services within a federally supported residential youth program in <strong>Vergennes, Vermont 05491</strong>. </p><p>Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving young adults, ages 16–24. The program's mission is to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living. </p><p>This role provides direct clinical services to students and collaborates closely with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment.</p><h1>Position Overview </h1><p>This is a part-time contract position, approximately <strong>8.8 hours per week</strong> (typically one day per week). </p><ul><li>Schedule: Monday–Friday within center operating hours </li><li>Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM </li><li>No weekends required </li><li>Location: On-site in <strong>Vergennes, VT</strong> (no telehealth or remote option) </li></ul><p>Scheduling flexibility is available within center operating hours to support student health needs and program operations. </p><h1>Key Responsibilities </h1><p>The physician will provide comprehensive on-site primary care services to enrolled students and maintain an active presence within the Health & Wellness Department. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities include: </strong></p><ul><li>Conducting cursory medical evaluations, typically within 48 hours of student entry </li><li>Performing physical examinations and providing routine and preventive primary care services </li><li>Ordering, reviewing, and overseeing required entry laboratory studies, including hemoglobin or hematocrit testing, pregnancy testing, Pap smears (age-appropriate), chlamydia and gonorrhea testing, HIV testing, and urine drug screening </li><li>Administering and overseeing immunizations, including boosters for incomplete immunization series, hepatitis B vaccinations for health occupations training students, and Tuberculin skin testing (Mantoux) </li><li>Performing vision and hearing screenings </li><li>Assessing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions </li><li>Providing prescription services in coordination with nursing staff and the Center Mental Health Consultant </li><li>Coordinating care with interdisciplinary staff and referring students to off-center physician services or specialists when advanced care is required </li><li>Promoting preventive health education and wellness initiatives </li><li>Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with federal program standards and healthcare regulations </li><li>Upholding all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards </li></ul><h1>Qualifications </h1><p><strong>Licensure</strong> </p><ul><li>Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted Physician license in the State of Vermont and be able to practice independently. </li></ul><p><strong>Certifications & Credentials</strong> </p><ul><li>Current DEA registration </li><li>Current CPR/AED certification </li><li>Active malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance </li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong> </p><ul><li>Experience providing primary care services in adolescent health, family medicine, community health, or similar clinical settings preferred </li></ul><h1>About PsyPhyCare </h1><p>PsyPhyCare is committed to delivering <strong>professional and passionate practitioners who impact their world</strong>, supporting both the individuals we serve and the communities in which they live and grow. </p>
