Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work to produce its annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list.

The top 10 retailers to work for are:

Wegman's Food Markets: The supermarket chain marks its 18th year on Fortune's list with 1900 job openings as of February 2015.The average base pay for salaried employees is $62,802.

Nugget Markets: The grocery chain appear on Fortune's list for the 10th year and its staff is made up of 47 percent females and 38 percent minorities.

The Container Store: The retailer pays its front-line workers double the retail average, nearly $50,000 annually.

QuikTrip: The convenience store chain pays above-average wages, offering night assistant managers an average $36,000.

Whole Foods Market: The grocery chain offers employees 20 percent off store purchases and pays salaried employees an average base pay of $68,243.

L.L. Bean: The outdoor apparel retailer gives employees 11 paid holidays. The company has a three percent turnover rate for full-time employees.

REI: The sporting goods retailer returns to Fortune's list for the 18th year. The average base pay for salaried employees is $96,268.

Build-A-Bear Workshop: Employees get 15 days of paid time off and the average base pay for hourly workers is $34,174.

CustomInk: More than half of the the T-shirt retailer's staff is female. Employees enjoy benefits including a catered meal each week from a local restaurant and free massages.

CarMax: The used car retailer offers college tuition reimbursement to employees and pays its salaried employees an average $51,583 annually.
