A-OK Power Equipment was founded in 1968 as a small mower shop in Santa Barbara. Its initial goal was simple: to provide quality lawn mower equipment and repairs to nearby Santa Barbarians. Since taking over the reins, current owner Jim Galley has greatly broadened the variety of products offered as well as expanded A-OK to four locations in California. (Santa Barbara, Goleta, Buellton, and Escondido). Jim, originally a contractor, now devotes his time to making A-OK the premier dealer of outdoor tools and power equipment. While staying true to its mower shop foundation, A-OK has now branched out to offer sales and repairs of many different types of equipment designed for the professional and the homeowner. There are supplies for arborists, landscapers, mechanics, climbers, and weekend warriors alike. A-OK carries products from the most popular major brands including Husqvarna, Echo, Oregon, Stihl, Honda, Milwaukee, Makita, Petzl, Sherrill Tree, and the list goes on! Equipment in need of repairs may be dropped off at any of our four locations to be looked at by our experienced mechanics. Our knowledgeable, friendly sales team is prepared to give advice based on the needs of each individual. We are happy to educate our customers in the proper methods for each product’s use and maintenance. All of us at A-OK are excited to be part of this growing and evolving entity. This past year alone great progress was made in increasing A-OK’s presence on the worldwide web. Our brand-new website is nearly complete and thousands of tools, accessories, and parts are waiting to be sent to a new home.
