About Air Force Enlisted Village

The Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) is a  one of a kind retirement community consisting of Bob Hope Village (independent living) and Hawthorn House (assisted living with memory care). Our mission is simple: to provide a home. We provide a home for surviving spouses of enlisted personnel and to moms of active duty servicemembers.

What makes AFEV different? Why should you work for us? For starters, we were awarded "The Finest Place to Work on the Emerald Coast" 5 years in a row! Our benefits package is great: we offer healthcare, dental, vision, 401K with match, supplemental insurance with AFLAC and Identity Theft/Legal Shield, and generous PTO (paid time off).

Our awesome employees treat our precious residents with respect and dignity. We treat residents the way we want our own moms treated. “The Mom Rule” guides all AFEV employees to ask themselves these three questions when working with residents or making decisions about a resident’s care: Would I do this to my mom? Would I do this for my mom? Would my mom approve?

The Air Force Enlisted Village is not only a great place to work, but it is also a job you go home feeling good about. We make a difference in the lives of our residents every single day.
