ANDRUS

For more than 80 years, ANDRUS has been a proud provider of programs and services for children and families throughout Westchester County and the tri-state area. Every year, we reach over 2500 children and families with a broad spectrum of preventive and restorative services for families and their children from birth through adolescence.

In 1928, philanthropist John Emory Andrus founded an orphanage, the original Andrus Children's Home, as a memorial to his wife, Julia. Our beautiful 107-acre campus was the childhood home of Julia who had been adopted by the Dyckman family. John Andrus constructed spacious Tudor residences and landscaped grounds to instill in children the belief that they were valued and loved. His legacy of attention to quality, safety and nurturing care has continuously shaped our work.
