ACS believes in Community and Service. In the fall of 2009, ACS employees initiated a “Casual for a Cause” program whereby employees have an option of enjoying a relaxed dress code on Fridays by donating to a specific charity in southeast Michigan, which has included local food banks, various shelters, special schools and orphanages. This program continues to be a huge success! In addition to monetary donations, ACS employees donate time. Some various involvement has included building homes with Habitat for Humanity, serving food at shelters, maintaining a garden at the Detroit Zoo, taking orphan girls shopping at the mall, accompanying young foster boys to a pumpkin patch, raising funds for the Junior Michigan Thunderbirds (a local youth wheelchair basketball team) and conducting an in-house talent show to raise awareness and funding for Motor City Blight Busters.
