DC Water provides retail water, sewer, and/or wastewater treatment services to millions of customers in DC, and parts of MD and VA. This includes more than 600,000 residents, 17.8 million annual visitors, and 700,000 people who are employed in the District of Columbia; the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant treats wastewater from jurisdictions in MD and VA, serving an additional 1.6 million people.
