Williams Industrial Services Group was founded in 1958 by Mercer Williams. Located in suburban Atlanta, Georgia, in the city of Chamblee, the company began as a small industrial coatings contractor. Over the years, and under the guidance of Mercer Williams’ sons, Virgil and James, the company evolved into a multi-industry, multi-discipline industrial services company.

In 1985, with almost three decades of experience and expertise in industrial coatings, the company branched out to provide additional specialty services including asbestos and lead abatement, insulation and roofing. Almost a decade later, in 1994, the company saw opportunities in the maintenance and modifications sector and began offering mechanical, electrical and civil services.

Today, Williams Industrial Services Group is a leading provider of construction, maintenance, and specialty services to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and other heavy industrial markets. Leveraging our solid foundation, our future is bright as we continue to expand our general and specialty services capabilities and develop innovative project control tools for major capital and maintenance projects.
