James Burg Trucking Company

James Burg Trucking Company is a regional flatbed carrier with tremendous opportunities for Detroit-area Class A drivers. In business since 1984, owner James (Jim) Burg began as a one truck operator and now has a fleet of more than 100 trucks. Jim is a tireless advocate for his trucking family as well as the trucking industry and is looking for quality drivers to join his team.

Our core business serves many metal suppliers for the automotive industry; operating 164,000# GVW multi-axle in Michigan, 120,000# GVW seven-axle equipment under permit in certain Midwest states and 80,000# GVW five-axle flatbed equipment in the Midwest. Using this same equipment consisting of 100 trucks and 125 trailers, we can also satisfy the specific needs of our construction-material customers. Our equipment is designed for high productivity and efficiency and that allows us to best serve our customers' delivery needs. Because of this, we have the most up to date diagnostics tools available including wheel alignment, performance based brake testing, A/C charging systems, and major equipment software programs.
