Rod Lewis started Lewis Energy 30 years ago with one well in South Texas. His vision and determination led Lewis Energy to become a leading producer of natural gas with global operations in Mexico and Columbia. Lewis Energy began drilling in the Eagle Ford Shale years before it was named America’s hottest play. Lewis Energy completed the first horizontal well at the Eagle Ford Shale and has more acreage than the other guys. Lewis Energy is the only U.S. operator in Mexico – the first time in three decades an American company has been trusted to drill on Mexican land.

What makes Lewis Energy even more unique is vertical integration. That means we own the wells, the rigs, the pipelines, the equipment, the fleet, all of it. In the process, we are expanding our workforce and keeping more people employed. Vertical integration allows us to keep production consistent in lean times. In other words, we control our own destiny – and we want you to be a part of it. While the other companies outsource, we believe our employees are the best ones to get the job done.
