Since 1978, Lin Associates, Inc. has provided structural engineering and construction administration services to a diverse client base including municipal, state, and federal agencies as well as the private sector.  Lin Associates is a privately owned, minority and woman owned business with a strong reputation in the public infrastructure industry. 

Lin’s Structural staff consists of two groups, the first of which focuses exclusively on bridges, while the second provides design services for buildings.  Lin’s Bridge Group produces designs for new construction, rehabilitation, or replacement of bridge projects ranging from railroad to vehicular to pedestrian use, in addition to providing bridge inspection and rating services.  In acknowledgement of the firm’s expertise, MassDOT has prequalified Lin Associates for Complex Bridge Design/Rating. 

The building structural division provides services for the design and analysis of various concrete, steel, and timber building structures.  Successful projects have varied from rehabilitation, renovation, and modifications of existing structures to design of new structures such as office and commercial buildings, educational facilities, hospitals, correctional facilities, wastewater and water treatment plants, radar towers, and equipment supports.

Another advantage of working at a small firm allows our engineers the opportunity to be involved with the design of both horizontal (bridges) and vertical (building) construction.
