OAHU TRANSIT SERVICE - EMPLOYMENT

Oahu Transit Services, Inc. (OTS) has operated TheBus since 1992 and has operated TheHandi-Van since 1997. It is organized as a Hawaii-based not-for-profit firm. The organization reports to the City & County of Honolulu, Department of Transportation Services Division and acts as an instrumentality of the City. Currently, OTS employs about 1,900 employees including 1,200 bus and Paratransit operators and 400 maintenance employees. With the exception of 100+ employees, all other employees are represented by the Teamsters Union.
