PEMCCO Inc. is a minority-owned firm Incorporated in Virginia in 1995. In early 1993, Prescott Sherrod, the company President and founder began PEMCCO by providing consulting services to customers through assessing their readiness to automate their business processes, and by preparing technical documents for systems integration and business development. By 1994, the company was providing management training, conducting management studies, and providing engineering support in the areas of fabrication design, new business proposal development, database management system conceptual design, and other computer-related services.

Today, PEMCCO is an Information Technology and Information Management (IT/IM) professional services firm; primarily supporting industries that include Transportation, Sea Ports, and Department of Defense. Our customers extend to various markets including federal, state, city governments, and private commercial sectors. We have facilities located in Virginia Beach, VA, which is our principal location; and remote locations and geographic presence in Arlington, VA, and Rochester, NY and New York, NY.

PEMCCO is certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), or Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with several states' Department of Transportation (DOT) and many federal and state agencies. The list of certifications increases monthly as we work to reach our goal of being certified in each state to increase our business opportunity potential.
