OUR MISSION:
To provide job training and community based employment opportunities to adults with disabilities.

In 1971, a state-run residential program for individuals with mental illness faced closure due to state budget cuts.  A group of concerned Kitsap County citizens organized Peninsula Services, incorporated as Peninsula Lodge. Since that time, the agency’s services have expanded to include vocational and living skills training and job placement for persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and many other challenges.

Our main focus, job training and employment for adults with disabilities,  is funded through government contracts in grounds maintenance at Naval Base Kitsap and other community sites and Commissary shelf-stocking and janitorial contracts at the local base commmissaries. We own and operate 2 Servmart military supply stores,  The Gift Basket, a build-a-basket store in downtown Bremerton and All Shred document destruction service with a mobile shredding truck and drop off warehouse.  Our main administrative facility on Werner Rd in West Bremerton also houses our Vocational Services division that actively finds jobs for adults with disabilities in our community who are referred through DVR and DSHS.  We strive to maintain a 75% ratio of persons with disabilities performing direct labor jobs.

Peninsula Services is a non-profit United Way afiliated agency and exists for the purpose of providing quality vocational, social and life enriching experiences which allow people of all abilities the opportunity to grow, set and achieve their personal goals and maximize their potential.
