REU has transitioned its resource mix to include renewable generation and has enhanced its capability in demand-side management through energy efficiency rebates and a thermal energy storage program. REU serves approximately 44,000 residential and commercial customers within the City of Redding, with 800,000 megawatt hours of electricity provided annually and a peak load of over 250 megawatts.
