The Seattle Police Department is a great place to work. With 1300 sworn positions and 600 civilian staff, the department is large enough to provide growth, enrichments and a variety of experience with opportunities for a variety of special assignments.

Seattle is also an excellent place for lateral transfers with salary incentives for officers that have attended a certified state police academy and have more than 24 months of qualifying experience.
