About The Sobieski and Radius Companies
Over twenty years ago, J. F. Sobieski, Inc. was founded with a clear idea of what we would need for a successful future. We understood that in order to reach our goals, we had to adhere, on a daily basis, to sound fundamental principles and to grow our business intelligently, step by step, employee by employee, client by client. We were determined to always take the high road and to avoid the "easy way out."
When we began, the principles that we deemed most essential to our success were hard work, commitment to quality, sensitivity to the needs of our customers, fairness in pricing and complete honesty in all our business dealings. To that mix we added diligent staff training and education, a progressive corporate culture that fosters personal initiative and opportunity for every employee and a firm dedication to getting the job done right the first time. The result is a superior value proposition for all our clients and a solid competitive advantage over other firms in the area.
How we conduct our business has an impact on all our stakeholders: our customers, our families, our staff and management, our sub-contractors and our community. Our goal has always been to do those things that would help us build lasting relationships with every single client we serve, to solidify the gains we have made, to grow in new ways, and to always be ready to serve our customers whenever they may need us in the future.
In our years in business, we have grown from 2 employees to over 300. We now have a well-recognized fleet of GPS routed installation and service vehicles on the road 24 hours a day. We routinely handle massive projects involving state-of-the-art technologies for use in mission-critical applications. We design and build complex mechanical systems for our area’s commercial and industrial giants and we have a thriving residential services division, making people’s home more comfortable to live in. And we have grown our business to include three operating units - J. F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, our commercial, institutional, and residential construction division; Sobieski Services, our residential and light commercial service division; and Sobieski Life Safety, our fire alarm and security division. For the last eight years, we have been recognized and ranked by the Delaware Business Ledger’s Book of Lists as Delaware’s #1 Largest Mechanical Contractor.
But all this will turn to dust in very short order if we don’t "keep both hands firmly on the wheel." We must constantly remind ourselves of the commitments we made in the past and the vision we have for the future. I am committed to doing this. All our employees are committed to doing this. And we promise to renew that commitment to you, everyday.
