(ASH) - Accounting Specialist I

Arizona State Hospital is seeking a local Phoenix-area Accounting Specialist I to support daily patient finance and trust fund operations. Responsibilities include maintaining patient and resident trust accounts, processing cash disbursements and deposits, reconciling transactions and ledgers, preparing daily deposits, reviewing fiscal documents, approving withdrawal vouchers, and providing customer service to patients, staff, guardians, and family members regarding patient funds. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, financial recordkeeping, account reconciliation, ledger maintenance, and fiscal data analysis while following established banking policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher education
• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong accounting, reconciliation, recordkeeping, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment

• Local Phoenix, AZ candidates only
• Current location must be listed on resume
• Must be available for an in-person interview within one week of posting close
• Must be able to start within two weeks of an offer

  • Rubella/Rubeola Titer or MMR vaccination
  • Hepatitis B Titer or Hepatitis B vaccination
  • Varicella Titer or Varicella vaccination
  • Current TB Skin Test or QTB (within the last 12 months)
  • N-95 mask fitting
