
Associate, Instructional SPED (Student Specific 1:1) (Laveen Traditional Academy)Location: Laveen, ArizonaJob ID: 5788499Application Deadline: Posted until filledPosted: Jun 17, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC)Starting Date: ImmediatelyJob Type: Part-Time (FTE 0.7375)Salary: $17.81 Per HourJob DescriptionJob Goal: To assist professional staff members by performing a variety of tasks related to the operation of classrooms or other instructional areas.Performance ResponsibilitiesInstructs students under the direction of the supervising teacher.Assists the teacher with planned activities and instructional programs.Assists in preparing instructional materials for daily instruction as planned by the teacher; sets up and operates audiovisual equipment; types educational materials; uses copy machines and computers.Assists the teacher in maintaining individual student records.Assists in supervising students at arrival and dismissal, in the classroom, and lunchroom.Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques under the supervision of the teacher.Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.Supports special education students in accordance with individualized education programs.Performs other job duties as assigned.QualificationsAbility to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with teachers, support staff, and school administrators. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)/restraint certification, First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training course completed at first available offering by District.
