Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant with a knack for corporate accounting and financial analysis. This role is a temporary position with the potential for direct hire, designed to provide immediate support to their team with a variety of upcoming projects. The selected candidate will be handling routine accounting tasks as well as special assignments, including collaborating with external auditors and preparing essential financial reports. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $48 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and record transactions in the corporate general ledger, focusing on areas such as cash management, accruals, allocations, and cost reclassifications.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Oversee daily cash flow management and assist in customer collections and treasury-related activities.
• Engage in detailed financial analysis, including reviewing fluctuations, revenues, costs, and gross margins.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Work collaboratively with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate support during audits.
• Participate in the implementation of internal controls and support the preparation of SEC filings.
• Assist with the deployment of new financial and accounting software systems.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in corporate accounting and financial analysis, with a preference for candidates from publicly traded companies.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, financial analysis, and customer collections.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with large-scale financial systems.

• Previous experience in a public company.
• Proficiency in Excel and capable of generating ad hoc reports independently.
• CPA license is an asset but not mandatory.
