Design Engineer - Aircraft Installation Drawings - CATIA- Seattle Area - 1923 - Short & Long Term
Our client in the Seattle WA area has multiple immediate openings for Installation Drawings for various aircraft interiors. They are seeking experienced design engineers for this long term project . Experience with previous aircraft interior modification design work preferred such as LOPA, Galleys, crew rests, water waste system etc. Proficiency with CATIA required
Jobs Roles & Responsibilities
- Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the interiors system design.
- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Works under general supervision.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
- 4+ years of experience with 3D modeling (CATIA, Solidworks, Inventor, CREO, SketchUp, etc.)
- Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)
- Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
- Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
