The strongest candidates will come from water/wastewater, process piping, industrial mechanical, or heavy civil infrastructure environments with hands-on self-perform estimating experience. Focus on energy, water, wastewater, commercial (offices & labs), industrial, and institutional sectors for clients across MA, NH, CT. 4 core principles: Safety, People, Profitability, New Business Generation.

Job Description

The Estimator is responsible for:

• Leading development of mechanical estimates for water/wastewater projects
• Attending pre-bid meetings and coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Quantifying labor, material, and equipment costs
• Evaluating subcontractor proposals and comparing scopes
• Developing bid schedules and monitoring bid progress
• Leading estimate reviews and project turnover activities
• Visiting job sites regularly to support estimating accuracy and maintain field knowledge
• Reporting to the Estimating Manager
• Working alongside Civil Estimator and Structural Estimator
• Supported by a Junior Estimator and Estimating Coordinator
• No direct reports

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

• 5-10 years of process mechanical estimating experience in water/wastewater construction or related heavy civil infrastructure
• Mechanical estimating experience required
• Process piping, millwright, plumbing, pipefitting, industrial equipment, and water/wastewater experience preferred
• Project values: Estimator III: $10M-$20M, Estimator IV: $20M+
• Self-perform process mechanical estimating experience
• Experience estimating: Process piping, Flanged ductile iron piping, PVC/CPVC piping, Stainless steel piping, Pumps, blowers, and treatment plant equipment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• OSHA 10, DOT Medical Card, Valid Drivers License
• Must pass background, MVR, and drug screen
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to visit job sites
