    Description

    We're seeking a detail-oriented Structured Cabling Estimator to join our estimating team. This role is ideal for someone who has an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and enthusiasm for learning the construction estimating process. Working directly with the Senior Estimator, you'll help evaluate project requirements, calculate costs, and prepare competitive bids for various technology integration projects.

    Responsibilities
    • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand scope of work requirements
    • Perform quality takeoffs for electrical, security, audio visual, and cabling components
    • Assist in site visits to evaluate existing conditions and project requirements when applicable
    • Maintain accurate records of material and labor costs
    • Generate detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
    • Research and obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers
    • Prepare bid packages including scope sheets and qualification letters
    • Track bid deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals
    • Work closely with the Senior Estimator to learn best practices and methodologies
    • Coordinate with project managers to understand field conditions and requirements
    • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers for product specifications and pricing
    • Support the sales team with technical information for client presentations
    • Maintain organized digital and physical project files
    • Document lessons learned from each bid process and post-mortem analysis
    • Help maintain the company's cost database
    Requirements
    • Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 3-5 years of experience in low voltage estimating or related field
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
    • Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProCore) preferred
    • Knowledge of electrical and low voltage systems preferred
    • Familiarity with construction industry standards and practices preferred
    • Experience in the DMV construction market preferred
    Work Environment:
    • Full-time, in-office position at our Northglenn, CO headquarters
    • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Office environment with occasional site visits if applicable
    • Fast-paced atmosphere requiring ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
