Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.FACILITIES SPECIALISTResponsibilitiesLead construction and facilities related construction projects and upgrades pertaining to new production lines, office spaces, improvements or industrial upgradesAssist with the design, development, and issuance of drawings, documentation, and reports for construction and facilities in aerospace, large commercial or industrial type projectsVerify maintenance is being completed and coordinate all repair, build, and contingency systems efforts for HVAC, electrical, cranes, facility systems (e.g. lighting, doors, roof leaks), security systems, and fire protection systemsCommunicate and deliver building/maintenance activities and schedule to personnel, subcontractors and material suppliers to effectively and efficiently execute targeted deadlinesWrite, negotiate, and manage scope across multiple disciplines related to construction and facilitiesMaintain interior office and factory cleanlinessPlan, set up, and execute events for VIPs, vendors, and internal staffRecommend move plans and help with office relocationsWork with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted, and insuredHelp support and manage campus services such as the bike program, laundry program, and office suppliesAssist with badging, ITAR, NDA requirements, and safety trainingCreate RFPOs, and assist the manager with furniture and vendor selectionTrack purchase orders, weekly reports, and project schedules and statusesMeet with key SpaceX end users and establish the scope of workAssist the facilities manager(s) in all aspects of project implementation as neededAuto req ID479115BRMinimum Education RequiredBachelorsJob CategoryTechnicianAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in managing facilities vendors, contract management in lieu of a degree3+ years of experience in managing facilities vendors, contract management, or shipping and operational logisticsPreferred Skills And ExperienceExperience with managing commercial, office, or industrial facilitiesFamiliar with space planning procedures and operationsKnowledge of basic computer applications; ability to easily navigate through different computer software programsAbility to create and update RFPOs and facilities work orders in an ERP softwareAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to make independent judgments with limited informationStrong communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees, vendors, and customersAble to read and understand basic floor plansAdditional RequirementsAble to work extended hours and/or weekends as neededMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedStanding for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this positionCompensation And BenefitsPay range: Level I: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00/per yearCity*HawthorneState*CaliforniaJob CodeRecruiter RecruitmentAffiliate SponsorSpaceX#J-18808-Ljbffr
