Role Overview

We are seeking a .NET Developer to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of client applications for Client. This position involves application development using ASP.NET MVC 5.0, ASP Web Forms, the .NET Framework, SQL, and object-oriented design principles. The developer will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and preparing design artifacts to developing, testing, and implementing application components.

The position is designated 100% remote and requires the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. The requisition lists a 15-week assignment duration and separately references a six-month right-to-hire arrangement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop software for the implementation and/or support of various client applications.

• Work with System Architects and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and solutions architecture.

• Assist throughout the full software development lifecycle.

• Develop design artifacts for application development.

• Develop and test application components based on design specifications.

• Implement application components.

• Provide technical analysis support to the development team.

Required Technical Skills

• ASP.NET MVC and RESTful Services: Working proficiency with ASP.NET MVC 5.0 and Web API/RESTful services.

• ASP Web Forms: Practical development capability using ASP Web Forms.

• .NET Framework: Working proficiency with the .NET Framework for application development.

• SQL Development: Excellent SQL development skills, with the ability to support application database requirements.

• Object-Oriented Programming: Excellent understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities relevant to application development.

• Prioritization: Ability to multitask and support multiple priorities and deliverables.

• Use Case Documentation: Ability to write use cases.

• Application Development and Support: Ability to implement and/or support client applications.

• Requirements Collaboration: Ability to work with System Architects and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and solutions architecture.

• Application Design: Ability to develop design artifacts.

• Component Development and Testing: Ability to develop and test application components against design specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL database administration is a plus.

• Familiarity with responsive web design using Bootstrap and LESS.

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS and jQuery.

• Familiarity with Unity Application Block.

• Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).

• Experience in the Workforce Development industry.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Experience interacting directly with clients.
