Position Overview
We are seeking a highly technical, detail-driven Project Architect to support the development and quality control of construction documents across multiple projects.
This role is focused on producing and reviewing coordinated, buildable construction documents and supporting projects through construction. It requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the design team and consultants to improve overall document quality and project execution.

We are seeking a highly technical, detail-driven Project Architect to support the development and quality control of construction documents across multiple projects.
This role is focused on producing and reviewing coordinated, buildable construction documents and supporting projects through construction. It requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the design team and consultants to improve overall document quality and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Support the development and coordination of construction document (CD) sets
- Review drawings for technical accuracy, completeness, and coordination across disciplines
- Develop and refine wall sections, envelope assemblies, flashing details, and critical building conditions
- Contribute to detailing of curtain wall, storefront, exterior cladding, roofing, and waterproofing systems
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or Autodesk tools
- Coordinate closely with consultants including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty vendors
- Identify and help resolve constructability issues early in the design process
- Provide redlines, markups, and technical input to the design team
- Support designers by sketching details and assisting with technical challenges
- Participate actively in construction administration, including:
- OAC meetings
- Submittal reviews
- RFIs
- Addenda
- Change Orders (COs)
- Assist in maintaining consistency with office standards, details, and specifications
- Strong experience producing and reviewing construction documents for commercial projects
- Experience working on project types such as:
- Single-story commercial buildings
- Retail and mixed-use developments
- Mid-rise office or multifamily buildings
- Experience with construction types and systems including:
- Structural steel
- Reinforced concrete
- Wood framing (stick frame)
- Curtain wall and storefront systems
- Deep knowledge of building systems and assemblies, including:
- Exterior wall systems and flashing
- Roofing and waterproofing systems
- Structural coordination and detailing
- Strong understanding of constructability and field conditions
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
- Proven ability to develop complete, coordinated building details
- Experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with construction administration processes and documentation
- Working knowledge of AIA contracts and responsibilities of all parties
- Ability to identify issues before they become problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
