Description
Regional Sales Manager
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for both Greenhouse and Nursery divisions across the West Coast and Northwestern territory within the United States, as well as a portion of Western Canada. They will manage the sales process to direct accounts and our distribution partners.
Essential Functions:
Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within assigned territories or customer segments.
Expand share of wallet with existing accounts through strategic account planning, upselling, and cross-selling complementary products.
Actively prospect for new customers and build a sustainable pipeline of high-potential leads.
Leverage data and insights to prioritize opportunities, track performance, and improve conversion rates.
Participate in joint business planning sessions with key customers to identify shared growth opportunities.
Work with distributor accounts/representatives assisting in the sale of the company's products. This can include customer account visits, training, and order follow-up.
Assist with the coordination of sales efforts for accounts across other territories and sales representatives within the company.
Represent the company at various industry trade shows, distributor events, and sales conferences.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of outside sales experience
5+ years in the horticulture industry
Travel within the assigned territory up to 50% of the time.
The ideal candidate resides in Washington, Oregon, or California.
