Senior Accountant
Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 + Performance Bonus
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity
Our client isseeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing organization that is entering an exciting new chapter following a recent private equity investment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a modernizing accounting department focused on automation, process improvements, and technology enhancements while supporting the company's continued expansion.
As part of a collaborative accounting team, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, and operational improvements, working closely with leadership on initiatives that strengthen the accounting function.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys combining traditional accounting responsibilities with continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for assigned business units
- Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations while maintaining general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze revenue, commissions, operating expenses, and other financial activity to ensure accurate reporting
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits
- Assist with financial reporting, management reporting, and special accounting projects
- Support enhancements to internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
- Partner with leadership on automation initiatives, AI-driven efficiencies, and Workday optimization projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Three to five years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Experience using Workday or other ERP systems is preferred
- Exposure to automation tools, AI solutions, or process improvement initiatives is a plus
- CPA designation is preferred but not required
- Insurance industry experience is beneficial but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
