Air Import, AutomotiveLocationUSA - Itasca, N Arlington Heights Rd Itasca, ILDivisionAir & SeaEmployment TypeFull TimeSummaryThe Air Import Senior Team Lead will oversee and manage a team of air import coordinators and ensure that all air import shipments are handled in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise a team of air import coordinators and ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresCoordinate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goodsMaintain accurate and complete records of all air import shipmentsEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing air import shipmentsCommunicate effectively with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfactionIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholdersProvide regular reports on team performance and identify areas for improvementParticipate in training and development programs to ensure that team members are up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changesEducational Background / Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred5+ years of experience in air export operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management roleSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of air export regulations and proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong leadership and team management skillsPreferred QualificationsCertification in air export operations (e.g., IATA)Experience with air import operations in multiple regions (e.g., Asia, Europe, Americas)Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures in multiple countriesExperience with implementing process improvements and driving efficiency gainsLanguage SkillsFluent in English (oral and written)Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., TMS, WMS)At-Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as at‑will employees.
