AWS Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate engineer to design, implement, and manage robust cloud infrastructure and services. This individual will be crucial in ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our platform, contributing to our overall technical strategy and operational excellence by leveraging advanced cloud solutions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal operation of services and applications.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection measures within the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications, optimize their cloud deployments, and ensure seamless delivery.
• Manage and optimize cloud resource consumption, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising performance or reliability.
• Automate operational tasks, build continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline development workflows.
• Provide expert guidance and support to other teams regarding cloud architecture and service usage.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience working with core cloud services, including compute (EC2), storage (S3, EBS), networking (VPC), and databases (RDS, DynamoDB).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform for automated resource provisioning and management.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or Bash for automation and system administration tasks.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security groups, IAM roles, and access management best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure health, performance, and security of cloud applications and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a distributed cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications demonstrating expertise in cloud architecture or operations.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with serverless computing paradigms (Lambda) and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation and management using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CodePipeline.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and experience implementing solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
