A high-end Japanese restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to prepare and serve high-quality Omakase sushi while adhering to the restaurant’s quality standards and food sanitation and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Prepare and plate sushi and dishes served as part of the Omakase course
Prepare and serve sushi and dishes at the sushi counter
Prepare, process, cut, and properly store fish
Prepare, cook, season, and maintain the proper temperature of sushi rice
Serve dishes according to guests’ preferences and the progression of the course
Maintain food quality and check inventory
Maintain food quality in accordance with restaurant standards
Clean and maintain sanitation of the kitchen and work areas to prevent food contamination
Comply with food sanitation and safety regulations
Work closely with other kitchen staff on food preparation and kitchen operations
Perform other duties related to sushi and kitchen operations


Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience as a Sushi Chef (Required)
Experience preparing and serving Omakase (Required)
Ability to handle the entire sushi preparation process, from fish preparation to slicing, sushi-making, and serving
Strong awareness of food hygiene and ability to maintain a clean work environment
Strong teamwork skills and a responsible approach to work
