Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 1st Auger Assembly Associate to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. This position involves cross-training in three departments: Auger Assembly, Auger Drive Unit Assembly, and Brush Cutters/Trenchers/Post Drive Unit Assembly. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools, handling materials, and ensuring products meet quality and production standards.
Responsibilities

• Cross-train in three departments to assemble augers, auger drive units, brush cutters, trenchers, and post drive units according to company specifications.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for assembly and product preparation.
• Pick, organize, and handle materials and components to support efficient assembly, production flow, and order fulfillment.
• Position parts using templates, blueprints, and measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Measure completed components to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Fasten parts and subassemblies using appropriate tools and assembly techniques.
• Move freight and stock to and from the assembly area using forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks, as trained and authorized.
• Stage, package, and prepare completed products for shipment, ensuring orders are accurate and ready for delivery.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience 
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment.
• Ability to read measurements, follow work instructions, and use templates to position parts accurately.
• Forklift, overhead crane, or pallet jack experience 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
