1st Shift Machine Operator
Starting Pay: $19.00/hourPay Upon Permanent Hire: $20.00/hour
Shift: 1st ShiftSchedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position OverviewWe are seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join a manufacturing team. This position involves operating production machinery, inspecting finished products, and ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and efficiently.The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a positive, friendly personality. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, work well with others, and are eager to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing machinery, including forming and CNC trimming equipment.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect raw materials before processing and finished products after production.
- Perform quality inspections on every part to ensure specifications are met.
- Submit first-piece samples to Quality Control for production approval.
- Read and follow work orders, instructions, and production drawings.
- Meet established production goals, including cycle times and parts-per-hour expectations.
- Ensure the correct materials, components, and packaging are used for each assignment.
- Identify and report equipment issues, defective materials, and quality concerns.
- Work to reduce scrap, minimize waste, and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understand and follow emergency machine shutdown procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production progress.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written instructions, work orders, and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently while meeting production expectations.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Friendly, respectful, and approachable personality.
- Positive attitude, great character, and strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and assist coworkers when needed.
