Summary

Full-time, 1st Shift opportunity with an established manufacturing company in Fort Wayne.
Hands-on maintenance role working with production machinery, facility equipment, and company vehicles.
Variety of work involving mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and equipment servicing.
Opportunity to work with industrial machinery, forklifts, fleet trucks, and semi-trucks.
Seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual who can work independently and take pride in keeping equipment in top condition.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and mechanical drive systems.
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Diagnose and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Use electrical diagnostic meters to safely test components and troubleshoot control circuits up to 480 volts.
Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts, fleet trucks, and semi-trucks.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and manufacturer manuals.
Enter completed work orders, repair details, and parts usage into the CMMS system.
Weld, fabricate, and modify replacement parts and equipment safety guards as needed.
Follow OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and all established workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

Work Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with forklifts, fleet trucks, and semi-truck repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostic equipment and safe troubleshooting practices up to 480V.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance and industrial safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, and in tight industrial spaces.
