Perform basic polishing and finishing tasks on super abrasive tools and components
Operate polishing equipment, including buffing wheels, hand tools, and basic finishing machines, according to established procedures
Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards for all polishing operations
Clean and prepare parts before and after polishing
Visually inspect finished parts and use basic measuring tools to verify quality and finish requirements
Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or process irregularities to supervision
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Assist with material handling, part movement, and production workflow as directed
Accurately record time and production information in accordance with company procedures
Follow all company safety procedures and required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
Work safely around rotating equipment, abrasive materials, polishing compounds, dust, and noise
Support production goals while maintaining consistent quality standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn polishing and finishing processes
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move up to 40–50 lbs. as needed
Ability to work safely around polishing equipment, dust, abrasives, noise, and polishing compounds while wearing required PPE
Must pass a background check and drug screen
